Finding Freedom in Christ: A Study through the Liberating Book of Galatians
(Gym)  Teacher: Eric Mosebach

Have you ever felt like God’s love and even your salvation are directly tied to your ability to maintain a rigorous religious routine? If so, it may not be enough for you to merely get off the pseudo-spiritual hamster wheel; you may have to completely break free from the cage of legalism. This quarter, Eric Mosebach, a gifted elder and teacher, will be leading an enlightening journey toward spiritual freedom. The path to get there will be a challenging study on the liberating book of Galatians. Through diligent study and personal illustration you will learn what it truly means to “Find Freedom in Christ.”

• In God We Trust: A Christian View of Society & Civics (Gym)  Teachers: Various

Have you ever felt compelled to make a difference in our society? Many have felt the urge but haven’t had a clue where to start. The truth is that God has called each of us to be a world changer. What’s more, He has placed us in a nation where we have a voice and influence. The problem for many is that we have no idea how to be a faithful Christian and a good citizen. This class is designed to show you how moral virtue and a clear understanding of our society and government can make us more influential disciples of Christ. Ultimately, we want the world to know that it is “In God We Trust.” We are thrilled to announce that we have a team of highly qualified teachers who will be speaking on their area of expertise. Below is the topic schedule and a brief bio for each teacher.

9 AM Youth Classes
• Look of the Leader: For Youth Leaders Only
(Faith House) Teacher: Pastor Ed Bley

This class is focused on prospective student leaders in 10th and 11th grades.  The class will be studying the life and ministry of Christ through the “Knowing Him” study.  While this class is primarily by invitation only, if students do not have other options at the 9am, they may attend the class.

11 AM Youth Classes
• Building Community: For all students entering 6th-12th grades
(Faith House) Teacher: Ross Garrett

The Christian life is not meant to be a solo act. Christ does not call us to be Lone Rangers, but rather an interdependent Body. Unfortunately, in today’s youth culture it is in vogue to tear down each other as a means of promoting oneself rather than building each other up. This class will examine the significant “one another” commands from the New Testament. Through these teachings, we will learn to build a truly unified community of believers. The Body of Christ can’t be all that it should be unless we mature in our interpersonal relationships as the Bible commands. We will learn not to tear down others, not to simply tolerate others—we will learn to build each other up!
