To support and inspire the artists of the church, using the creativity and abilities God gives to reach the local community, and challenge the secular trends of our culture, pointing to and glorifying Christ.

Current Projects:

YEAR-LONG ART PROJECT
We are taking on a new initiative this year that will not only serve to communicate important themes to our church family but also help to raise funds for a worthy cause. Each month, from September 2010 to August 2011, new theme-based artwork will be created by NewSong artists and displayed in our lobby. Some of the themes will be racism, family, missions, prophecy and God's Word. Then, in August 2011, the art will be auctioned off and the proceeds given to a local arts organization (still to be decided on). ROUND ROBIN JOURNALS | Last Tuesday of Every Month/files/Images/journals.jpg
Each month a group of artists in the church meet to talk about what they've been working on in their studios. In an effort to help encourage each other to keep creating in the midst of busy lives and schedules, they've started a Round Robin Journal project where everyone creates a journal based on an Element or Principle of Design. They fill in a few of the pages one month and then swap journals at the next meeting and work on the new one the next month. All are welcome, so if you would like to join the group, please contact Ann Kimmich for more details.
