In lieu of the summer Olympics, students were challenged to grow in their relationship with Christ and expand their outreach to others with “Going for the Gold.” Those who attended 16 services and discipleship classes, 8 big/small groups, completed 4 hours of community service, brought a friend to church and memorized 2 Peter 1 were rewarded with an all-expense paid day trip to New York City!

 

 

 

On August 23^rd, Pastor Jamie, chaperones, and 11 students headed off at 6am for the big city. Hard Rock Café, FAO Shwartz, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Central Park, and riding a subway were voted some of the top highlights from the day. Everyone enjoyed a great day, packed full of sight-seeing and fun times together.
